Paul Kahn
I am looking for a senior User Experience / Information Architecture position, either with an agency or company-side, based in Boston, New York or Washington. The kind of work I do requires a team and I want the opportunity to work with talented people.
I have been working professionally with digital information for many years, specializing in large information problems. What I do goes under a variety of names — hypertext research, information design, information architecture, user experience design — but all have the same focus: shaping and designing large collections of digital information to improve user experience. I have been a thought-leader in this field, developing many of the visualization techniques used in information architecture practice, brought many large projects from conception to successful implementation, and taught at many design schools and professional conferences. I have been an entrepreneur for two decades. I have created and built two digital design agencies in the US and in France.
I know how to build teams, manage budgets and get projects done. I have worked for major clients in the biomedical field, literary publishers, large cultural institutions, and international corporations in the US, Europe and Asia.
